NELSON MANDELA, born July 18, 1918 is arguably one of the greatest statesman of the 20th century. He has dedicated his life fighting for the freedom of South Africa and the South African people. He was incarcerated for 17 years on Robben Island - off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa. Mandela’s achievements and his personal triumph have become a powerful symbol to people all over the world that good will ultimately prevail over evil.

A full set of 6 – Robben Island Series I (set number 353/500) of Nelson Mandela lithographs. 

This unique set of color sketches by Nelson Mandela captures his memories of his 17 year incarceration on Robben Island. The original set is owned by Oprah Winfrey who acquired them at auction in 2002 and took them home to Chicago.

This Lithograph is signed by Mandela (original signature) and includes a certificate of authenticity. All 6 items are part of the Robben Island series I set.
